David began his funeral career in the 1960s so has built up a wealth of experience. He is now very ably assisted by his sons James and Christopher and also his wife Sandra, who together make up the team. You will always be assisted by a family member to give you the personal attention needed at this difficult time. We are also fortunate to have an excellent team behind us to help us with funerals.
With just one office branch, we can offer you a dedicated and personal service. All aspects of the funeral arrangements are handled by a family member. At David C Rivett Family Funeral Directors, our aim is to provide a caring and professional service to help make the process of arranging a funeral as easy as possible. You are welcome to contact us for help or advice at any time.
The office has been recently refurbished. For your convenience, we have ample on-site client parking at the front and rear of the premises. We also have a ramp to the entrance for disabled access.

We are always at the end of the telephone to give reassurance and support at any time. Being a small company you will only deal with a family member whenever you contact us. Funerals in general are very different from many years ago. They are more bespoke, somehow more personal and we can give advice on making the service personal to you. We offer help with service sheets which can be worked upon at all hours, music can be anything of your choice and we can give help and suggestions.
We help in finding the right person to take the service, ensuring the person suits the family and the deceased. This can be a local minister, reader or celebrant offering different styles. We can put you in touch with our florist and we will do our upmost to ensure that the type of funeral you choose is exactly right. We are happy to pause outside the home or former local work location or another local place which bring back those memories that are so important to everyone.
We understand how sad a loss can be and we want to make that time as special as we are able. We are all about service offered with efficiency, kindness and sympathy.
We have tried to include something to suit all circumstances and budgets during this very difficult time including offering a dignified direct cremation service.
