The pandemic experienced during this past year has created an extraordinary set of circumstances. Here at David C Rivett Family Funeral Directors, we have therefore created a price structure and range of services that suit the current times.
Services to suit all circumstances
All of these differing services still include the professional, caring service from a very experienced family of funeral directors.
We have tried to include something to suit all circumstances and budgets during this very difficult time that everyone is experiencing.
Kindly note that we do not accept credit cards and only accept bank transfers which must be paid within the timelines advised.

Bespoke direct/unattended cremation
This may be the choice for those holding a memorial service at a later date or perhaps some other type of personal celebration for family and friends. It can also suit those living away or too unwell/frail to attend a funeral and attendance would involve great difficulty. It is also aimed at those whose budget may at this time be rather limited. This is carried out early morning. This involves no mourners attending, music or any kind of service whatsoever.
Unlike many other funeral directors, or maybe online companies, the deceased will be afforded every dignity whilst in our care. We will choose an eco cardboard coffin or veneer coffin at our discretion. The date will also be our choice. Moreover on the day of the funeral, the deceased will be transported in our hearse by family members arriving to the Crematorium. Most other companies use a van which we consider inappropriate. You will be duly informed after completion and invited to collect the ashes if this is what has been arranged.
In summary - No viewing, attendance, service, input on date. Ashes may be collected from our office or delivered locally at our discretion.
The above includes all our services, fees for Yeovil Crematorium, doctor's fee. Removal within 15 miles.

The simple funeral
This is aimed at those who wish to attend a funeral but are on a more limited budget.
Yeovil Crematorium offer a Reflection Service held at the Crematorium at 9 am or 9.20 am. This is a short 20 minute only slot but carries a reduced cremation fee. Maximum 20 mourners ONLY. You may choose music from the Obitus music system. Ideally a friend or family member will officiate. We may consider organising our own officiant which will incur an extra fee. Our Simple Service is only for this early Reflection Service.
Our Simple Service will include removal within 15 miles, preferably within office hours, all arrangements and administration as necessary. On the day of the funeral which will be decided by mutual consent, the deceased will travel by hearse. The use of the trolley only at the crematorium. Bearers only at our discretion. Oak veneer coffin or eco cardboard coffin. One only viewing in the Chapel by agreement during office hours. No additions to be added to this service. No newspaper entries, service sheets, flowers or any additional services whatsoever. None of these may be added at any time. Ashes may be collected from our office.
In summary - Reflection crematorium service only, one chapel viewing in office, no additions to involve our arrangements, we will arrange Obitus music service at crematorium only, use of hearse to Crematorium, trolley use at Crematorium, oak veneer coffin/eco cardboard coffin, own officiant preferred.

Our bespoke service
We will provide removal within 15 miles. Oak veneer coffin fully lined with full coffin furniture. Dressing of deceased in own clothing if required or we will provide a suitable gown. Eco cardboard coffin as an alternative. All arrangements and administration as necessary. Use of Chapel of Rest by appointment but offering out of hours or weekend viewing as desired. We will assist in arranging service sheets, newspaper entries, flowers, all the various options offered at the Crematorium (streaming, obitus, tributes, slideshow etc) and any other services as required. Superintendent, hearse and 4 bearers and all arranging and administration as required. The date of the service to suit those attending. We will be available for help and assistance at all time £2695.00
