Burials of Ashes

Burials of ashes

In the event of a cremation, you do not necessarily have to scatter the ashes and can instead bury the ashes if you prefer.  There are a number of ways in which this can be done and our family at David C Rivett Family Funeral Directors can help detail the options.  To enquire, contact our family in Yeovil today.

It gives you the time you need

One of the principal benefits of a cremation, if you are looking to bury the ashes, is that there is no time limit on when this should be done. It means you can give due care and consideration as to the best course of action and hopefully arrive at a solution that's of solace to you and that would be in keeping with the memory of your loved one. The most common resting places are cemeteries, woodland burial sites, parish churchyards and crematoria gardens of remembrance. The ashes can also be buried directly or interred with an urn or coffin. Whether the committal of the ashes is carried out soon after the cremation or later, the timing of the burial is ultimately your decision and that of your family's.
